CAR’S DESCRIPTION

The Volvo Amazon was a typical mid-range model in the Swedish manufacturer’s range. The car was offered since 1957 and was quite a popular means of transport not only in Europe. The car was famous for its durability, thanks to which Volvo convinced families around the world to its product. Amazon was offered in various body styles, but the 2-door coupe remained the most sought-after. Production ended in 1970. The car, due to the already mentioned solid construction and immortal drive units, was an irreplaceable base as a sports car.

The car offered by our company is an example of how much can be achieved in a seemingly ordinary vintage car. The car left the factory in 1964. The most interesting time for the vehicle falls in recent years when it has undergone a comprehensive and meticulous renovation. The car was supposed to be a kind of show car of the workshop that prepared it, therefore all the work was done with due care. Amazon was intended to be a very fast car that would allow for occasional racing in vintage car events. For this purpose, a number of works were carried out, which are listed below:

• B20 engine built from scratch based on a stroker kit for a capacity of 2.4 (estimated 180-200 horsepower)

• more efficient braking system thanks to the use of elements from the P1800 model
• stiffened suspension
• attractive alloy wheels in the Minilite design by VTO
• Hella halogen lamps

At the moment the car looks great. From the bodywork and paintwork side, the body was professionally repaired. The chrome elements have been restored to a high standard. The assembly quality also leaves little to be desired. The upholstery was made of dedicated materials and looks like a brand new car. All electrical systems are operational. All the additional accessories give the car an extremely aggressive character. In summary, you can rarely find an Amazon so well prepared. The car is built uncompromisingly and behaves very similarly on the road. It can be a great weekend toy, as well as win more than one sports event in good hands.
